Creation or Evolution? In one of the most famous trials in history, John Scopes, a high school biology teacher, was arrested and put on trial for violating a state law that prohibited teaching evolution in public schools. Attorney Robert Caprera revisits the Scopes trial and offers his opinion about its modern ramification on the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th Anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s book, The Origin of Species.

Cross Campus Critical Issues Program (CCCIP) “Recession 2009: Transition or Transformation?”

As part of the Cross Campus Critical Issues Program, the David Maxwell Trio will perform Blues music highlighting how music relates to periods of economic turmoil. David Maxwell has played with some of the greatest and best-known blues musicians over the years. He plays the piano to many styles of blues, jazz and improvised music, but is best known for his soulful virtuosity and unmatched ability to reach the heart of post-war Chicago Blues. Through his work, he has gained the respect of artists, critics and fans and has established a reputation as one of the finest blues pianists alive.
