Cross Campus Critical Issues Program (CCCIP) “Recession 2009: Transition or Transformation?”

As part of the Cross Campus Critical Issues Program, the David Maxwell Trio will perform Blues music highlighting how music relates to periods of economic turmoil. David Maxwell has played with some of the greatest and best-known blues musicians over the years. He plays the piano to many styles of blues, jazz and improvised music, but is best known for his soulful virtuosity and unmatched ability to reach the heart of post-war Chicago Blues. Through his work, he has gained the respect of artists, critics and fans and has established a reputation as one of the finest blues pianists alive.

Renowned clock historian and craftsman, Mr. David Gow discusses his lifes work as a restorer of vintage clocks, including an historic clock here at Nichols College. Our days are ruled by the management of time: class schedules, meetings, appointments, entertainment and even sleep. Mr. Gow will explore the origins of time keeping and the evolution of clocks.

You and your friends can be placed in any scene!  Pose in front of the pyramids, swim with sharks, pet the lions or choose from custom graphics.

In the simulator you’ll put on the VR goggles and will be ready to race down the mountain, skate through an intense skate park or ride the ocean waves.  Feels like the real thing, without the bumps and bruises!

This event is open to Nichols College students only.
